Qi Zhou’s group publishes a paper dissecting the chromosomal genome of blood fluke, a notorious parasite species that still affect millions of people worldwide. They developed a new pipeline and assembled separately the Z and W sex chromosomes of the blood fluke and elucidated their evolutionary process. The paper was recently published on the journal Molecular Ecological Resources, with Qi Zhou as the co-corresponding author.
