Postdoc Luohao Xu and PhD student Jing Liu from Qi Zhou’s group published a paper on parrot genomics in Nature communications. Using chromosome-level assemblies of four parrot genomes, this work characterises the evolutionary processes of parrot chromosomal rearrangements, and reveals the evolutionary history of parrot sex chromosomes. Luohao Xu is the corresponding author and Jing Liu is a co-author.
