Jing Liu’s emu paper from Qi Zhou’s group is now a cover story of the March issue of Genome Research. The art work depicts the studied organism emu, and other birds in the background, with the respective largely euchromatic sex chromosomes and heterochromatic sex chromosomes forming a letter W and a letter Z, for the avian ZW sex chromosomes
